Tech Week
~ Reflection 3 ~

After I learned from previous experiences with the Temptu Airbrush and Marhon creams, I came in early to discuss with Ms. Pollard the finalized creation of makeup. We needed a cream that was undoubtedly gray, that could be produced in large quantities, and was an easy application for the actors. During rehearsals, I tested a solid gray wheel from the company Ben Nye, which is a stage makeup company that I was quite familiar with from past experience. I applied it to Maddie as a model, adding also contour with the black wheel and highlighting with white. We also added amazon purchased nylon gray gloves to combat the skin color of the arms and hands.
We tested it in the stage light during rehearsals 21st of October 2022, and it was perfect. The look perfectly matched the grayscale look both me and Ms. Pollard wanted. And the gloves added the essential touch, to tie reality together. I felt so proud of how far I came, and even when I ran into challenges, I learned from them and moved forward. After we found the desired combination, I started working with my crew to divide fourths of the wheels of P-15 Cadaver gray into small makeup containers for the actors. We also divide black and white wheels into the contains, as well as baby powder to use as a substitute for setting powder. The kits for the actors came together by the end of the week. On October 19th, 2022, our tech Saturday took place to pull in all the technical aspects of the production. I distributed the kits to the actors and taught them how to apply them. My team and I worked diligently to help with troubles and doubts. I took notes throughout on what worked, what needed adjustments, and others.
The next step was to perfect the technique for the actors and adjust to getting more products in case of running out, as we moved into the final stage of the Twilight Zone.

I finished my project before spring semester, so I didn't need many hours for this log.
